MAaGs are NOT designed or intended to be sold to ANYONE under the age of 12. We truly would rather you don’t bring MAaGs into a household with little kids. MAaGs have lots of parts that can be extremely harmful; further, magnets can attach together inside the body and could cause injury or be fatal. If someone you know swallows a MAaG bead, or any other magnets, please seek immediate medical attention. MAaGs are NOT for Kids — no one under 12 should play with a MAaG.
Magnets and Technology: MAaGs are extremely strong, thus, they will not come off under normal conditions, however, take care when removing long sleeved shirts and jackets, as in any jewelry, on rare occasions, your clothing may snag on your MAaG and cause it to pull off. Further, MAaG beads tend to attract to each other more than any other metal objects, however, when the pieces are open and there are two exposed ends, these ends can attract other items, and on occasion, MAaGs (open or closed) will attract silverware, and other metal items. Also, avoid X-ray machines.
If you are playing with more than 8 MAaG strands (over 240 magnetic beads and 2000 connectors), avoid your blackberry and other units — MAaGs are strong, but to really have a negative impact on your computer, you would require to have a lot of them around. However, as a good rule of thumb, we recommend keeping MAaGs closed (no open ends) and keeping the pieces 3-4 inches from any sensitive materials. However, if you are wearing 5 or less strands with your regular daily use of a computer, cell phone, Ipad, or other technologies — in our experience, we have not seen adverse effects on any of these devices or recording materials. That said, if you decide to mix MAaGs with technology, do so at your own risk, we take no responsibility for damage to your possessions.
CAUTION: These magnets are very strong and as a precaution, should be avoided by people wearing pacemakers. Do not place a MAaG anywhere near your chest if you have a pacemaker.
Allergies: People who are allergic to nickel or copper may get a red, itchy rash on their skin where they wear a MAaG, if you have these symptoms please discontinue wearing the MAaG to avoid further irritation.
Common Sense Rules: As always, common sense rules should apply; do not wear your MAaGs on the beach, in water or during major athletic activities. Further, Copper MAaGs may get darker with use — they do clean up just like any other copper jewelry.
